RamenNoodles
i was gonna say a ground problem but signal interference fits alot better with the problem. sounds like an amp problem. try hooking up a cheap sony amp or something and see if it still does it. I think you are just making things up in hopes that its the problem. I doubt its the amp itself, its probably more along the lines of the RCA connections or the HU ground not being so hot. Try grounding your RCAs and see what that does. Quote Diablo Audio Technologies Fi Car Audio Ascendant Audio
Neo_frog
so what would be the best way to go about fixing this problem. try diff rca's and change the gain Well just try one thing at a time to rule things out one by one. Try new RCAs Turn any line drivers, bass boosters, eqs, etc down a hair or leave that volume and turn the amp gain down Try a different amp. That rules out the most likely possibilities. troycartertc
the rca's are brand new stinger. just in from darvex. not running any line drivers or bass boosters so think it would be the gain
Neo_frog
the rca's are brand new stinger. just in from darvex. not running any line drivers or bass boosters so think it would be the gain Well, not really just the gain. I meant if you DID have those things in series with the RCAs, then your amp gain or accessory gain could be throwing a bogus signal. But that's only when they're together. Just cause they're new doesn't mean they are good. I'd try an old crappy set real quick. If that doesn't fix it, try moving that RCA from SW to Rear on the back of the HU. If that doesn't fix it, then it could be a bad amp, but I doubt you'll get this far. **meaning you shouldn't have to go this far. Edited January 28, 2009 by Neo_frog Quote Need an install?
