MaX
I have a AQ2200D and at the moment I have no clue where the subsonic and lowpass need to be set at. for the time being both are set at approximately the 12 o'clock position which sounds ok. But I want to be as accurate as possible with this. Any suggestions of where to put them?? E a r t h
whats your tuning frequency? set it at 5-10hz below that to start and see how that does and go from there. as for lp, personally i dont like mine that high. i would do more like 10 or 11 o' clock position, but thats me
Neo_frog
The subsonic filter dampens all frequencies below where you set it so as not to unload your subs if you play a frequency below the port tuning. If it's a ported box, set the subsonic about 5hZ below the tuning frequency. If it's sealed, turn the subsonic all the way down to 20. As far as LPF, it's almost the opposite of a subsonic. It dampens the high frequencies that a sub shouldn't play which is usually above 80hZ. Just set it around 80hZ and that should be good. This is assuming it's a basic daily system. I'm not going to go in depth, but this is the layman explanation. PS Don't set it by the clock hand. Quote Need an install? Hit me up.[email protected]Got car audio questions? As for LPF, you should set that to around 125 just because it sounds better Although, 80 is perfect for most people Edited January 31, 2009 by moh.vze.com Quote DC Audio - Singer Alternators - Knukonceptz - XS Power - Hybrid Audio - Rockford Fosgate - Second Skin Audio - SMD - Sundown Audio - Elemental Designs
