Gearstix Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 Okay it seems I won't be able to afford to get a SAZ-3000D or two like I had planned on. I don't got dick all in funds right now, but I'm going to try to get a job and see what kinda cash I can accumulate. It seems like the second wiring option shown should work for my Dual 2 Mach 5 SPL-12s. That pic confuses me a bit though, it says 3000@1 ohm yet its not 1 ohm stable? I've heard alot of different things about this amp. I've heard it'll do about 2600W on 12V and a bit over 3000W @ 14.4V. I've heard that is a solid amp and I've heard that its junk. I'm not really sure what to do. I seen these things online for about $470 bucks. I should be able to get that much together. What I've got to remember is, I've still gotta buy an alt or two, batteries, wiring, and wood. Also have to buy some accordian gasket. I will eventually want to put in some components and stuff but that can wait.. I'm sorta missing the bass. What do you guys think of this amp? anybody here have it, or have used it, or could mention anything about build quality, how long it lasts, etc? 2005 Blazer Build... Mach 5 SPL-12s, Audiopipe AP3000.1D..
camino_1to3 Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 I can't mention much about it cause I've never ran it ( I'd never run Audiopipe anything ) .. though I've seen a few people runnin' round with em and they seem to push they're shit quite well. The amp has failed to suprise me yet. Team T3 Audio Team Sundown Audio Team O.B.M Operation Beast Mode "Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear" wigglez that was a bit over the top, i dont want to invison dw giving any young lady a "cream pie" let alone "throat babies".
blackandgoldl69 Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 cant say anything about the amp but a friend has 2audiopipe 12's that he has had for 2 years and we have overpowered the crap out of them. They still work like brand new to this day so audio pipe is a great brand in my opinion
Gearstix Posted February 1, 2009 Author Report Posted February 1, 2009 I think I may go and get it when I can. I just heard they need a good electrical, as do most any amp thats 3000W. 2005 Blazer Build... Mach 5 SPL-12s, Audiopipe AP3000.1D..
Boon Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 This amp is 2 AP1500.1's in a single chassis. The 3000w = 2x1500w @ 1 ohm or 1x3000 @ 2 ohms by bridging it. 10.x volts fo' life!
Team_DC-Derrick Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 it gets very nasty! check out DC and check the video section of the forum, i posted up some videos on the last page and im using the amp to push them! Team_DC-Derrick Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 ive had it like that since dec 8th, and its only seen 11.2 volts once LOL i watch my voltage drop very carefully since i dont have a h/o alt just yet *soon* it runs like a champ, i cant judge that it gets hot or warm cuz its freezing outside LOL but it hasnt gotten warm or shut off on me except when my remote wire came loose once LOL. *edit* stock alternator as well ! lol The DC Integra 3 18s to 6 15 build log Team_DC-Derrick's Youtube Team DC Audio where theres a will theres a wall....... I'll have to border jump it into Canada though. APs dealer here wants around $500 for there 1500W.I was thinking of going with 1-2 200amp alts. We'll see. Biggest issue with me other than money is getting batteries. 2005 Blazer Build... Mach 5 SPL-12s, Audiopipe AP3000.1D..
