But with bass boost and hz and everything. I would like some help on what is good for hz and db in bass boost, so it has more bass but doesn't sound bad at all. EricM9104 Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 find the peak sub-bass frequency song (there will be multiple's), and add ONLY 3-4dB bass boost to those specified frequencies. Decaf Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 after importing mp3, highlight .5-1second where you know the bass is goto analyze plot spectrum change to 16384 change to log scroll over until cursor and peak are at the same hz a loud song is 20-27db, sine waves are 27-30db only boost like said above 3-4db at specified hz, otherwise u will see the top of the wave being clipped/cut off that is distortion u cannot make a song with little bass have more bass without jeopardizing quality its best to find a good copy of the song, or get the cd and work from there bass boost is not there to make a song with 13db@40hz go to 25db@40hz without clipping look at bigpimpins how to tell if a song is clipped thread and read his input and look at my visual examples that should help alot Quote

Right now I'm just slowing it to about -17 speed to -20 and not changing bass boost at all; it sounds quite good, I was messing around with the songs today. Decaf Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 (edited) find the peak hz in the song using plot spectrum, then put that number in the bass boost hz, and the default is 12db, which u were already advised not to do ur only going to be adding 3-4db at most, between 30-60hz likely... 200hz is what ur mids play mostly so obviously its not gonna do anything to the song, since u didnt listen to clearly stated directions about how to add bass boost at a desired frequency/hz and at what hz, not choose the default not trying to be rude, just thought i was specific enough Edited February 11, 2009 by decafcappucino Quote
