I don't know the year just that she doesn't want to swap out the stock head unit because she wants to keep her navigation. I'm pritty sure to add an amp to a stock head unit you use a line out converter but I'm not sure, I've never had to deal with this because everything else I've done hasn't had the stock head unit. thanks in advance and sorry if this is a simple question I've just never had to do this

Neo_frog Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 Yeah just use a line out converter. She most likely doesn't have a sub-out so just clip to the rear-out and run that into the converter and run RCAs back. Everything else should be the same. The "remote" wire might not be blue like most kits, so make sure you have a schematic or just run it off ignition. Hope that helps. That's what I would do anyways, Need an install? I might be off but thats what it seams like. I can't think of what else would be the rear out. I really doubt it has a sub out on the factory head unit but that would make it a lot easier. sorry about the late response my computer sux
