4dabetta Posted February 20, 2009 Report Posted February 20, 2009 Does anybody know the amperage of an alternator off a 09 impala. Also can somebody tell me if i was to put a 250 amp alt. on my car would i be able to get my correct voltage or would i have to use a missing link audio joint.

It should be either a 125 amp Bosch or 150 amp Denso depending on which engine and how the car was equipped.. I havent seen an '09 yet so they may have changed over to a Valeo alternator but most likely not.. As for your voltage question, your car has GM's RVC system so if your looking to get normal voltage levels from either your stock alt or a high amp alternator up in the 14's an MLA module would be necessary..
