Chris
so cut it out? Didnt want the box to look like shit, and now there is more airspace for the subs since its sealed. I could have cut it out, but figured I would mount the subs upside down since the dont look bad that way and I had seen it done before when I installed them. ChevyBoy
how would the box look like shit if you just made the cutout bigger?
kickerman
swich positive and negitive. if the holes are cut bigger the lip on the sub should cover the holes looking bad Quote 18" mmats juggernaut rf t10001bd alpine h/u
Chris
I could have cut it out yeah, But since it was a gift and if he wanted to switch out the subs later on, I didnt want the cutout holes to look anything other than brand new when he took the subs out. Besides, by mounting them upside down, IMO it looks better anyway even though they were cheap subs to begin with. KickerAudio21
you're never supposed to wire them out of phase...... reversing the polarity on inverted subs compared to polarity of normal subs will keep them in phase. Wiring them out of phase means the sine waves oppose each other causing cancellation.
