Moore941 Posted February 23, 2009 Author Report Share Posted February 23, 2009 those ports would work. you could even use large PVC pipe if the diameter is the same. but dont be too disappointed if the output isnt what you expect. ported boxes tend to be a lil larger before port displacement and everything No i too 1 1/2 inches off it to compensate for the 3/4" on each side so its internal measurements, i like low bass but thats all it can really move air with is that really low bass like in the high 20 to 30hz range. but im gonna try to block off part of the box first and see how that sounds then if all else fails ill try the port cuz im not to worried about the box cuz its only gotta last till the taxes come back lol then im throwin another 12w7 in it and having a good friend of mine build me a 3.5ft3 ported box with a common chamber tuned to around 35hz so ill give yalls ideas a shot thanks for the help, noobs can always use it. Moore941 Posted February 24, 2009 Author Report Share Posted February 24, 2009 ok just checkin. sometimes lil details are easy to look over and can make a big difference Hey so i used your box tuning calculator and i think i came up with a decent set up that will tune it to about 35 hz with a 4x10 aeroport im just curious as to whether you think that will be to low for what i have or if it will help a little at cuz it only cutting my box down to 2.2ft3 but reccomended is 1.75ft3 tuned at 41 hz any input would be appreciated. sorry for all the questions, im a hardcore noob but i really wanna learn.
