It would get hot and shut off on me all the time :/yeah thats great but like I said earlier its not the amps fault he wants more power than it can produce....what is your body gonna do when you try to bench press 900lbs and your max is 200lbs??? Its gonna shut the hell down on ya! kenwood makes a solid product BUT dont try to make it do what its not meant to do. Always look a the ces ratings not the "max power" it says.... Seems like thiers a piece of woot that goes right down the middle so the air doesnt come in contact and its just a nice flow. So thiers not way to pass the wires. Is it possible to wire them from the outside? But that would be like im almost brideing them... and i dont intend to do that.. but it still can work.. i think.. lol. but yea here are some pics.. This is below that piece of board. No gaps =(

Question is shall i move it to bridge mode instead of haveing it left or right.. And yea it does feel alot cooler. The sides of the amp dont even get hot no more. But the front is hot but i think its just cuz of the weather down here.. grr.. Anyways i will let yall know whats up. Ima have to test these badboys out after work.. cuz atm i need to go to work xD. Umm They do sound alot less bass. So yea i think i fixed it and the settings are the same as posted above so i think that helped it switchign to 2ohm. woot... ok well ima have to put some pics on how i did it so yea here they are.. This is the right side.. And just connected them with the left side of the speaker in its terminal.. And the left side goes down here To the left terminal.. Shall i move it to bridge mode?

Shinju Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 Also Alot of Kenwood amplifiers have a Stereo/Mono switch on them. IF you are going to run it mono tab that switch over to mono otherwise the amplifier will not preform like it should. On another note. I do not know if this was mentioned but NEVER run a Kenwood Amplifier under its suggested impedence they do not like it and will burn out quick. I have owned many Kenwood amplifiers from the KAC-1023 1994 --- Kenwood KAC-X401 (2000) I have never had an issue with any of them. Sure some of them ran a tad warm but never died on me.

All badass i just put it to bridge, turn on my radio and 20 seconds later it just kicks off. And never came on again. lol. Maybe the fuse went out on it i doubt it.. i dont really care lol. Im getting that 1800 watt kenwood anyway so yea.. dont really care about this one and i had a feeling it was going to happen cuz the wireing to me just felt weird and in my head i kept thinking "Its going to blow up" But amp doesn't come on agian .. Ill check all the wireing tomorrow. Just got back from work and im hella tired so yea. Ill see what happens but doubt it will ever turn on agian xD
alvitae Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 4ohm stable, 2 ohms bridged. It's all for the best though now you get new toys:) I hope you like the 1800 I liked mine. You'll be seeing twice the watts you were before. And they are cheap enough so if you mess one up no biggie.
