Stephen Posted February 25, 2009 Report Share Posted February 25, 2009 pretty sure the 2 #'s are for the 87 terminals. 87 would be 30a and 87a 40a. 85 and 86 go to a small magnetic coil that when you have power to it pulls a contact over and give you continuity from your 30 pin to you 87, when the coil is not energized the contact rest on 87a and what ever you have on 30 will flow to 87a. 20/30 amp will be more than enough but 30/40 amp will work too.
