Box Building Questions

Not sure if this was in the wrong place in subs and enclosures but I'll try again. Ive got a 99 explorer, its going to be my daily spl probably tuned somewhere like 60hz. I picked up 4 lanzar max pro 15"subs from my boy, "2000 watts" a piece. I know they are entry level subs but heres my question. Should i go with a single chamber box for all 4 subs and have a square port in the middle firing upward? Or should i get some aero ports and make them fire towards the rear?

build them in one huge box, its all preference whether you want aero or slot ports

edit: why 60hz? it wont hit the lows at all and it will sound terrible doing so. do 35hz for daily driving

u know music is gonna song like crap if tuned to 60hz

id advise a tuning closer to 38-40hz, since the 99 explorer likely peaks between 42-50hzish... tuning above the cars peak will not help... for spl u align the box's inherant peak and the cars resonant frequency

iirc single chamber boxes are also louder than separate chambered boxes

aeroports are almost always louder when u have enough of them

subs up port firing rear.......

word, how do I find my cars resonant freq? and shouldi tune to that or somethin like 32hz?

just tune it to 32-35hz for those subs

dont worry about resonant freq, i only mentioned it cause u said spl..... who cares about that if ur not competing, do what sounds better
