Makes the box act bigger, which also lowers tuning. Great for home subs. Just have to make sure the poly is installed so it does not block the port opening. There where many good answers and it was 20 or more posts... One long good thread. But the search button can't find it. Can someone help? (sorry for bringing up an old thread).
