dynodan9 Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 Getting ready to build a ported enclosure for my new subs. Just wondering what would be the better choice of glue for the MDF. Liquid Nails or just regular wood glue? Do either of these efficiently make the box airtight or is it best to run a bead of caulk on all the joints after it is completed?
Sampsonite Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 Tite bond 2 3 is to runny imo And I was informed that the gasses emitted by caulk can break down the subs soft parts. Especially the Glue holding the spider to the basket. So I wouldn't use caulk. --Sampson 816-591-6592 www.kcrimshop.com
AI James Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 thats if you dont let it dry and put the subwoofer in the box
