kryptonitewhite
i do it me too and friends, and I had 3 audiobahn amps screws come undone and a few lanzar amps too. usually just the outside cases, but once a screw dropped inside and shorted the amp Quote IB3 22"
sactownstang
I would not unless it's last solution. 150 db will vibrate things a lot!

Zade08
I dont do it any more. I fucked up my saz-1500d twice and had to send it in for repair because I mounted it to my box. My amps now have a new home on the back of my seat. Quote Vehicle: 2001 Ford Escape Head Unit: Kenwood Kdc-x592 All out for a rebuild. New shit coming in the next 30 days. sactownstang
Not saying I never did it, cause I defintely did. Louder you are, more chance for a problem. a 130 db sub setup is no where as bad as a 150+ setup. Some amp companys will tell u no warranty if mounted on box! kryptonitewhite
I would not unless it's last solution. 150 db will vibrate things a lot! I agree... though I might get over 130's LOL I want an anti-theaft way to mount it with security screws, but other than the box, I've got nowhere to bolt it down Quote IB3 22"
kryptonitewhite
hm.... i have always mounted amps on my boxes, but i shock mount them so idon'thave to worry about the amp vibrating from the box. lol but thats not good having your amp get shorted from the screws coming outBills I usually cut 2 1" wide boards and mount the ends of the amp on them so I have it spaced for cooling... but even then screws were coming loose The enclosure takes up most of the hatch, a little room... barely... on all sides.... no where to secure it other than the box! I'm using different kinds of security screws so a theif would have to have several different security bits to get the sub... Id like to do the same with the amp Quote IB3 22"
