Moore941
Yea not tryin to change your mind bro but ive had one 12w7 for a while now in its a ported box in my durango its got really good SQ but i only reccomend buyin jl subs if you have the power to push cuz other wise theres pretty much a waste if u dont, i had my w7 in 2.2ft3 box with a 4x4x10 round port and it hammered but country and rock music was sloppy so save ur money bro and do with dc or fi or something along that line. RamenNoodles
a single 12w6 can eat a 500/1 for breakfast no problem. i would recommend 2 12w3v3 if you are hell bent on JL. neutman21
I appreciate the comments and help with reccomendations so far.... right now I have the JL 500/1 and it has been nothing but a good amp for me... i have been through quite a few jl subs and loved every one.. but im tired of just loud and i would like to have more accurate and clean sounding and still have some loudness... I have read reviews all over the internet from a lot of people who have said they have one 10w7 with a 500/1 and they love the sound. The box is my only concern for getting the clean sound with a w7. Memphis..... well, im from a small town and the one store that we have only sales memphis and the owner is a douche and that ruined my feelings toward memphis. But i would rather stick with jl and i can afford one w7... so to sum up, i have the amp, and the money for the sub.. just looking to see if its a good choice. neutman21
oh, and im looking at space too, I have a HUGE box holding 2 15w0s and i want some side room to open the seats up. I drive an extended cab 2000 ford ranger. I feel the 10w7 will take some depth, but not as much length. Quote THE BASS KICKS AND THE HEADS TURN. Sp33dyG
the w7 is fine theres nothing wrong with it, its a great all around woofer most people dont like it cuz its overpriced thats all but give the w7 the right amount of power and put it in the right box and it'll get pretty loud and at the same time it'll be accurate ive heard wut 1 10'' w7 can do its pretty loud rattled the insides of my ear abit but that was in a hatch either way i was pretty amazed Quote the only person i wouldnt let build my box would be Ray.
