Colin - STAPUFT
Check out the Throttle Body!!! Good thing I got the full rebuild kit and had another TB for spare parts. See all of that crud?? That was all from INSIDE the TB. Look at the "remains" of the old fuel pressure regulator spring!!! No wonder it was falling on its face. Oh man- I'm holding my breath, but I really hope this fixes things. If so, she is gonna run like a scalded dog! ...well, as well as a Marshmallow looking Astro van with a wall in it can anyway... 12 - 12"s in the STAY PUFT 1989 Chevy Astro Build & Comment Log Un-Interrupted Build LogYouTube Channel Chevy Trailblazer 5.1 Dolby Digital DTS Install You have a beard of a mysterious sea captain. Colin - STAPUFT
Well- she is close to being buttoned back up. Idle is still high, but I need to reset the ECM and drive it (supposedly for 30 minutes at 40 mph for the cpu and new Idle air Control valve to figure things out). Also going to get an exhaust pressure check done to see if my CAT is clogged (pretty sure it may be). If it is- then it is getting cut out and a muffler put in. Thinking about a flowmaster... or maybe a regular muffler!!! Make it quiet! *gasp* List of what I replaced: EGR valve, IAC valve, Intake Gaskets, Distributor gasket, Throttle Body Gasket, Fuel Filter, Throttle body rebuilt, Throttle Body Spring, MAP sensor, vacuum lines replaced, thermostat, Coolant Temp sensor, PCV valve, Heater Hose Quick Disconnect Bibb, Ignition Control Module, Pick up Coil, Distributor Coil (replaced with MSD Street Fire Performance coil), distributor cap, distributor rotor, all hook-up wires checked & all hook-ups cleaned & electrical grease used. 12 - 12"s in the STAY PUFT 1989 Chevy Astro Build & Comment Log Un-Interrupted Build LogYouTube Channel Chevy Trailblazer 5.1 Dolby Digital DTS Install You have a beard of a mysterious sea captain.
