Astro Build - 12 Cerwin-Vega 12"s in a Clamshell C-Pillar Wall

Runs GREAT. I adjusted the valves and then got my pops to check it- he loosened them up a bit and got them where they really needed to be. Took a minute to get the timing in check too. I flushed the coolant system a couple of times so it would be really clean (and to check for leaks). -Then put in coolant. Throttle is very responsive and the idle is smooth as glass. I may have done it all right! (crosses fingers).

Only issues are:

1. BRAKES! Either brakes are suckin' from sitting so long, I have a vacuum leak to my brake booster, or my brake booster needs to be replaced. The brake pedal is as hard as a rock and doesn't really do much stopping. I have to get that sorted out.

2. EXHAUST. In my working on the van, I cut the exhaust to bits. Old CAT needed to go anyway and it didn't have a muffler. So- gotta' get her to a muffler shop once the brakes are good.

3. TIRES. The tires that are on it are old. They are a bit bald on the edges anyway, but they have nasty cracks around the rims and they have "the Bulge" going on. I plan on getting some good 6 ply tires to help support the added @ 1000 lbs.

So close- with any luck, this weekend she will be all fired up and running! All I know is- after not listening to the system in months and months- Junk is LOUD!!

Unbelievable.

She is on the road. Cleaned, Motor 100%, Insurance coverage again, inspection sticker, exhaust & muffler (it runs so quiet and smooth you can't even tell it is running). Ordered my tires and am off to get them this afternoon or in the morning.

Hopefully I will update with some photos and vids later on tonight. I'm celebrating!!

Ran out of daylight for vids tonight- sorry guys. My son is on fire right now, so daddy duties come first.

This came out of the exhaust pipe. lol

The fat girl on the lift. Got the muffler put on, the exhaust all welded up, and got a new rear seal put on the transmission. I could have done that one myself, but screw it- I'm tired and they had a lift.
