BassJunkie
So I finally got enough money for 2 12's and an amp... but my car isn't fixed yet, so I'm going to continue to save, I was thinking about if I got 4 12's and 2 amps (basically just for bragging rights in my area lol) ... any ideas on how to put them in my trunk? here is how my trunk basically looks I would take a pic of my trunk, but its completely solid with ice, and I dont really want to be out there with a torch and a hammer lol any ideas on how to make 4 12's look nice in there? I could put 2 on the sides but I dunno how that would sound =\ 1986 C20 Suburban 9 American Bass XFL 15's B2 M1MKII 14v XS Power Batteries Maxwell Caps Acoustical energy is free. civichatch
if i wer u ide make the box as big as possible. Have the subs firing up and the port towards the rear of the car. Raise the box 3-5 inches off the floor and you could slide 2 amps right underneath. Wat kind of subs/amps are u looking at... BassJunkie
I'm looking into getting alpine type r subs, and a hifonics amp that would push about 500-600 watts rms to each sub. How would it sound since I have a firewall inbetween my trunk and my cab? Would firing backwards help that? 1986 C20 Suburban 9 American Bass XFL 15's B2 M1MKII 14v XS Power Batteries Maxwell Caps Acoustical energy is free. Guest Nismofreak
I would put subs in the back and fiberglass it with the amp on the side
David
is that a port hole into the cabin of the car? if so you should utilize it. sub and port forward so all the air can get into the cabin from what I am seeing your gonna have to build it(box) in the car pull the rear seats seal off the face of the box from the rest of the trunk and it will be slammin, I would only do 2 12's no way to do 4 and have it sound good and Be loud IMHO. BassJunkie
I have absolutely no experience in fiberglass, and I just want to stick to a straight up box for now, thanks for the input though 1986 C20 Suburban 9 American Bass XFL 15's B2 M1MKII 14v XS Power Batteries Maxwell Caps Acoustical energy is free. I don't have that hole in my trunk =\ Iforgot to mention that, so 2 12's would sound better? 1986 C20 Suburban 9 American Bass XFL 15's B2 M1MKII 14v XS Power Batteries Maxwell Caps Acoustical energy is free.
