Ok so I posted here a little while ago inquiring on how to build my setup. Now I've made up my mind.... I'm going to go with RF T40001bd, and 2 "fully loaded"

Fi BTL 18"s. Now my questions for you are:

What options should I select for the BTL with my current parts? I'm going to be getting a second T4000 soon so that also should be figured into the equation.

My second question is what dimensions my box should be? I have an Expedition so size isn't an issue. Most people suggest tuning it to around 35hrz is good? And ported of course.... Any replies are appreciated.

And my wiring isn't an issue I have 90ft of KnuKonceptz Kollossus 1/0 and for now I'm going with 2 Powermaster D3100's in the rear and already have a Yellowtop D34/78 under the hood with a MechMan h/o Alt....

went to there website the 18's like 5-10cuft a peice so im sure a 18cuft total volume after the displacement of subs and port will do u just fine

Ported box: 5-10cuft | 5-10cuft

Sub OD: 18.500” | 18.500”

Cut ID: 16.750” | 16.750”

Mounting depth: 10.250” | 10.250”

Displacement: 0.26cuft | 0.26cuft

so 18 cuft + .52 + whatever ur port volume is = total box volume

give us the max room in ur cargo area that we can work with

then i need a freq u want, i have no experience with btl so i cant give u help on that

36 inch front to back length, 46 inch width, and whatever the height needs to be.

In regards to "fully loaded" BTL, the questions I mainly had were that the BTL had the option for Ohms as Dual 1 or Dual 2.... Not sure what this means(2 voice coils or 1?). As well as the option for HiXm coil option? I heat ring? And Universal or non.... Confusing shit for a novice...

Since your planning on getting another amp, get the D2s so you can run one amp per sub at 1-ohm.

The high xmax gives you an extended coil (more excursion), inductive heat ring, heli-cool, and chamfered pole options are cooling qualities and allow the subs to take more power (cooling the coil), universal basically only applies to the D1. They make it a permanent coil configuration so you can never switch by maximizing motor strength respective to your coil choice.

EDIT: Get all the options except for 'P Chamfer' if you are going to be putting 4k to each. Universal = yes. It just the best route to go.

Yeah I have a h/o alt one from MechMan that he was offering in that deal last month. I plan on looking into a dual kit once I upgrade to the second amp.

I just got the 2 BTL 18's with all options minus pchamber as suggested. So Amp/Subs and Batteries will be coming soon!

I have more than enough Dynamat and enough time off so I'm going to start putting all that in, along with running my 1/0 for the "Big 3" as well as the amps/bats in the back.... Now question for you guys, what do you think about running the power/ground for the rear batteries underneath the truck? Just tying them off with zip ties to the break line or something.... Then cutting a whole out in the back and placing a grommet there to run them through? I just thought this would leave a lot cleaner appearance than trying to fit multiple leads of 1/0 underneath my kick plates...

What type of battery terminals would you guys suggest using? I've been looking around for ones that will give a clean look with dual ports so I can use them to relay the batteries but can't seem to find any..... I can find triple port which would be good for my first battery in the rear relay, but still need the other ones... Also should I upgrade my alt wiring and battery wiring? Or would the stock be fine?

p.s. thanks for all the replies and advice guys!
