01xtreme
Im looking at putting together a little setup, and I can get either of these subs for pretty damn cheap. Im just wondering which of the two subs you would prefer. I can get the Type R for $110, or the P3 for less than $100. raytard
type r...if you're going to put the power to it rms is a bit higher, and its a bit less stiff, and personally i think it just sounds cleaner. p3 isnt bad by any means, i would just choose a type r. 01xtreme
ur not gettin rid of the 18's r u? HELL NO!!!!! Im just looking at a setup to put in my buddy's truck. If I were to rip out the 18's I would run 12 12" Type R's (so I can get the service plans on them when I blow them up), but I have neither the time or the resources to do that. 01xtreme
rms is exactly the same That was my thought. However I have seen Type R's take 1krms or more if done right. I have no experience with P3's. jizazz12
Ive had a pair of p3's for a little over a year and have been very happy with them, i haven't used the type r's but i have hered good things about them . i guess it all boils down to a preference but if you can get the p3s for under a hundred it sounds like a deal to me. Mikesmith0890
The p3s are really punchy and accurate subs. Also very good sq wise. Can take more than the rated power if it is clean. Does pretty good on low notes and packs a punch for the price. For under a $100 it's a good deal. Quote AlphaDamp Sound Deadening CDL Mat - The best Vibration Damper Ever!
