bumonskateboard6 Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 I know there's a lotta kicker lovers out there, however I've never used kicker subs, but someone decided they'd rather have a 3 year old pioneer cd deck instead of this 2 week old (still stiff as a board) 15" L5 so I figured I'd trade them.... Kicker 15" L5 Dual 4ohm Right....so big question is I got one of these http://www.dealercostcaraudio.com/Txi1508D.aspx lying around that's been barely used. I know Hifonics exaggerates their RMS standards but how do you think the L5 will take to being wired at 2ohms to that getting "900rms"? bumonskateboard6 Posted April 8, 2009 Author Report Posted April 8, 2009 Figured I'd try it out, I'm just keeping the gain down a bit on the amp and it hits good, I'm pretty sure hifonics rating their amp at 900rms is closer to the 750rms the sub takes.
