raytard
the hifonics, although well overrated, should be good for 1300-1400rms at 1ohm, and the aq1200 is right about the same really...but would you rather run maxsonix stuff crammed in a little shiny box or AQ stuff with a nice big heatsink? finkster
They will put out around the same. Although fuse ratings don't necessarily determine output, they both have 120 amps worth of fusing. That being said I would rather run the AQ....it does what it says.... baron_of_bass
Before making a final decision I would consider a hellfire 1000. There under rated. I think there putting out like 1500-1600rms. I don't know how much they run for but there one hell of an amp I'm thinking they are around the same price range, but I could be wrong. white4d96
what do you mean my that? The Hifonics is in a smaller heatsink (case) which means less surface area to disperse heat. The AQ has a larger heatsink which spreads the heat through a bigger area, meaning it can take more abuse before overheating. Quote Too many projects, too little time... I think the individual components are different though. Edited April 8, 2009 by c0smo kram3r
