Ok I did a bit of editing... made the box 36 3/4 x 24 3/4 x 15 with the tunnel 13 1/2 x 7 7/32 x 84 1/4 messed with the port layout which looks better than before imho. What you guys think?? Btw where do u start meassuring the tunnel? as the wall behind the sub? from the center of the sub? From the front of the sub? I did it from the wall behind the sub, just making sure i did it right.

i usualy mesure from the center of the back of the sub.

and also i would stick to the fs of the sub. you will be suprised how good it will sound even at that higher feq.

if its to high for you, you can also line the box in stuffing to slow the waves down to make it tuned lower anywase.

other then that just try and see how it comes.

only can learn by doing yourself.

I like making things and love learning new things with my hands so its all good. I figured out how to use sketch-up ... its a cake a walk compared to AutoCAD. I adjusted the port a bit so that I was measuring the length starting from the center of the sub. Should I move the driver hole over just a bit to the right or nah? IDK but im not sure if there will be mounting issues with it it being that close. What do you guys think? I didn't 45 the corners , but don't worry about that.. they will be 45'd.

Technically the distance should be measured from the wall of the closed end of the tube. This is where the node of the wave will be located and tuned by the length of the port, all the sub does is create the wave, not determine the resonant frequency.

http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/HBASE/Waves/clocol.html shows a pic for you.

edit: also, why not just shorten the width of the box to get rid of that dead space? It isn't all that hard to calculate what the width of the box should be... unless you just want the box wider than it needs to be. if you would like I can explain a simple way of calculate it up so you aren't just doing a hit and miss calculation...

so messure from the wall behind the sub on the left? grrrrr lol......

edit1: Nah I want to to be a certian size. Plus I can run my wires from the sub to my amp through there so it works out.
