Quantum Audio

and if it is just that amp then it just a matter of clipped power and huge cone area.

i would never recommend quantum to anyone.

a amp that doesn't put out rated power is like bragging about flywheel horsepower numbers

Well like I said if it was reliable then it is still cheap for 1050rms. Kinda like hiffonics.

not just jumping in to it, and pounding away, but going at it slowly over time, to get to that full extreme

as far as being sturdy. its a somewhat reliable amp i guess. but they get incredibly hot so freaking fast. i was running mine at 4 ohms and withing 10 minutes you couldn't touch it with bare flesh.

i had these when i was 16 and when i got my US amps i decided to F it up so i pulled a .5 ohm load off of it with gains all the way up (it would over heat on anything below 2 ohms) and after maybe a minute it was toast. my brahma wasn't even warm. i could have fried an egg it was so hot.

Ok man thanks for the input. I just realized your only about an hour and a half from me. I'm down in Camden,AR. How's the progress on the new setupI'd like to see it. I've never heard the re subs. Those aq amps are solid though. Love my 1200.1

i've got my 2 AQ 1200D's already and i've got 3 sx's laying around.

1 of them is in my car right now.

1 is a 10 and i need to recone to a 15

1 is a 12 that works fine.

so i'm going to recone two of them to 15's and then let the mayhem begin. lol.

there is a comp. at Phoenix audio in north little rock on the 25th from 6-8 i believe.

you should try and come up.

Yeah a buddy had 3 quantum 15s on 3 2500s and it was not loud at all. He tried sealed, ported, and never dropped below 13v with his factory alt and 1 spare yellow top. The amps just didn't put out power and it never really sounded good. I saw a guy with 4 quantum 15s in a wall do just shy of 145 with a few thousand watts of Quantum power.

I would never buy anything from them. I ran hifonics amps for a while and they were much better imo. The 2006ds would go into protect with a .5ohm load, the quantum just got hot like crazy no matter what you did, 1 ohm wasn't dependable from what I saw from my friends setup.
