I have a older fosgate 600.1bd it's only 2ohm stable but I want to run 3 svc subs to make it 1.3 ohms is this safe or will the amp overheat

Is it one of the fugly old 'gothic' style heatsink ones?

SOME of them were semi-stable to 1 ohm but IIRC you had to bypass the protection... so they don't go into thermal protect if you run them too hard, they just blow up :)

Definitely would not recommend doing what you want to do with that amp.

Take my word for it, I've gone through numerous amps that I've traded and have given to me for fixing them, all of which I never got one that was even 2ohm stable. You will never be satisfied until you decide what subs, as well as what amp you want to settle on. I decided on 2 subs that would wire to 1ohm and a corresponding amp that would supply the correct wattage at 1 ohm.

Not being new at something doesn't mean anything. Just because a prostitute isn't new at what she does, doesn't change the fact that she still 'sucks'
