TypeRBass
Well now...A while ago i decided I wanted to fit a 6.5" component set into each front door of mine... Went with Kicker RS 6.5's...off of a ZX350.2 Which basically meant fabbing some new door panels... I used the existing door panel and did some cutting and ended up with this... Wish iw ould have taken more pics but ehhhhhhh. Here it is stretched out and ready for glass: Did a few layers of glass/mat...then some bondo work... heres a crappy cell phone pic of bondo work: And I decided to cover it rather than paint it. And I ended up with this: dont mind my homo fleece....I wanted to add some extra padding to the door due to my velvet material being very thin and I didnt want the hard door panel feel to it. now I have to figuire out where I'm going to place my 2nd tweeter at..thinking about moving them to the a pillars... 2 in each a pillar...since I doubt i can fit 2 of them in each sail panel where my existing tweeters are...without some heavy modding. And I'm not sure if i'd like them in the door panels e Quote Team Phat HertZTeam KickerTeam Kinetik Power2005 MECA DB2 World Champion2006 MECA DB4 World Champion4 DD 9515's4 Kicker ZX2500.1'sI'm not a 1 note wonder... AP Zoutes
now I have to figuire out where I'm going to place my 2nd tweeter at..thinking about moving them to the a pillars...2 in each a pillar...since I doubt i can fit 2 of them in each sail panel where my existing tweeters are...without some heavy modding. And I'm not sure if i'd like them in the door panels e Here's and Idea for your tweeters and should give a great front stage. Place main tweeters in the kickpanels and aim them at the dome light. Then install second set in A pillars with -3 to -6 db setting (have to play with until you like). Makes a very spacious front stage and places all the images way above the dash. That's what I'm doing and it's a suggestion. Edited February 23, 2007 by AP Zoutes
TypeRBass
I don't have an ear for sq...I just put em where they sound decent enough for me...I need some type of vocals to hear over 4 15's and 10kw Quote Team Phat HertZTeam KickerTeam Kinetik Power2005 MECA DB2 World Champion2006 MECA DB4 World Champion4 DD 9515's4 Kicker ZX2500.1'sI'm not a 1 note wonder... AP Zoutes
It'll do that for you as well. By putting the image above the dash it's actually easier to hear above monster bass
