Re Xxx In S10 Ext Cab Box?

i was about to order 2 10" re audio se subs on friday, new, but i found for sale on the net, 1 12" re audio xxx. but its used. now i just sent him an e-mailing asking how old and how long it was used for, but there is a $100 difference in price between them, whats the better buy here? im looking to go sealed for a loud sq set up. what do you guys think? and the choice is only between those 2. thanks also need to make my mind up by friday

new or old model xxx?

you will need 1500 rms for the old and 2000 rms for the new.

the se's will need 1200 rms for the pair, so its a big difference in power between the two.

i would go with the xxx though, they get very loud and sound great doing it.

the se's i was going to give 1400rms, and the max i can give the xxx is 1900 rms. can xxx do a sealed? or they have to ported, and by the looks of the pic, its the newer style xxx.

it can be sealed but i prefer ported with low tuning. it does great in either enclosure though.

does it have a 12 spoke basket or the one piece basket motor?

12 spoke, and the amp i have is a lanzar opti1200. bench tested to do 1687 at 1 ohm, sorry the 1900 is at .5 ohms. so the xxx would only be seeing 1687 rms.

you might want to get a better amp if your going for true sound quality but it will work.

ouch i guess i should ask what ohm it is. i hate waiting to hear back on e-mails lol. but i wanted to go sealed because i have 2 10" re series and i found they played better sealed then ported becuase i listen to everything, from country, to techno/trance/house, to rap, heavy meatl. to rock. so i didnt find the ported to play all the notes i wanted it to play. plus i suck at desgining box's. lol

Ihave/had 2 15" RE SE and I will tell you they get loud and sound great....I would go with the two SE 10s ported....they like about 800wrms.
