Pioneer~Saturn
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone would know where I can find a 5-rib, 79.8 inch long serpentine belt? (or within half an inch of that might do)...the factory length is 5-rib 77.8 for a reference and autozone/advance auto both dont carry anything within 2 inches of what I need. Im going to look at Napa tomorrow/Monday, they might have a better/different selection on belts. Anywhere you'd suggest to look? Thanks in advance. Pioneer~Saturn
Yea, thought theyd be the best bet...that belt may work but I doubt it ...Id even be interested in a custom-made belt if that'd be the case but I dont think anyone does that. bobonit
The goodyear part number is 4050778 for their 5 rib 77.8" gatorback belt. Amazon had it for $20.14 in stock here: http://www.amazon.com/Goodyear-4050778-Gat...2707&sr=8-1 Hope that helps. Pioneer~Saturn
Bobonit: that's the factory length that wont work, but thanks. And yea, it looks like im gunna try it with a 6-rib belt and cut a rib off and see how well it works and if it'll hold up for a decent amount of time. Im just gunna keep the factory length one handy with some wrenches incase it gives out on me Quote Team Tupperware <First dual-alternator 'real' Saturn (pre-2002) on the planet>(3) 15" Fi SP4's fed by (2) M3a's strapped @ .66712.75 cubes net @ 25Hz with 200 sq inches of port area (lowz...?)Stock alt position (custom bracket) 225 amp Mechman Roof = steel and fiberglass (u mad?)(2) XS Power D3100's, (2) rhino batts, No battery upfront (for now, smh)4 power+ 4 ground runs of 1/0-gauge to rear"If its been done before...you're doing it wrong" : ) "stfu about scores and float $hit..." That's the closest I could find on Goodyears website, the next closest size was a couple of inches off. Good luck with resizing the wider one. A nice fresh carpet blade should do it pretty good.
