Bass Race Song Editing?

All right guys. Ima start competing here soon. I just got done reading the db drag and bass race rule books from top to bottom. Im know you pick your own song and its all about timing. But my question is can you edit the song. I understand I cant chop burp frequencies into a song but am I allowed to slow the song down. Cut out soem blank spots so its non stop bass and chit like that or am I confined to something right from a record label?

Your music must be commerically availble to anyone and everyone..

It dont matter if you illegally downloaded it and put it on your mp3 player, just as long as every average joe has access to it.

OK. Then no editing. But if there was an "officially" released chopped and screwed version than hat would be fine. But from what I gathered if a song was chopped and screwed then theres going to be longer pause points between bass notes resulting in more 0dbz per second.
