skittlesRgood Posted May 2, 2009 Report Share Posted May 2, 2009 Also I'm not even using tinsel lead, the sub itself came in a box, so I'm just using stripped wire coming out of the amplifier and running it into the screw clamps (or whatever you call them). the tinsel lead is a part of the subwoofer. you are using them, every sub does. just FYI. glad you got it working. The woofer worked fine when I plugged it into another receiver, and the amplifier cannot power another speaker that I tried. What can I do? Is there some place where I can get my amp repaired? Maybe I could take this opportunity to disassemble everything and put the sub in a box or something. What are some better amp brands; obviously this one isn't good because when I ran it, it would be for only like 15 minutes at a time at 3/4 gain. milesmiles Posted May 4, 2009 Author Report Share Posted May 4, 2009 It does apparently have a one year warranty on it, but... the amp came with tinsel leads on the wires and I cut those off and stripped the wire so I could put it into the binding posts of the woofer's enclosure.
