Forevrbumpn
soo ken what was the loudest youve gotten off just a straight tline i am just lookin for some more info never got metered with a regular tline unfortunately, I know they sound louder than they really are, its just the air movement, but I guess its because the phase is off 360deg or whatever it is, cone hits, air goes thru this long line, and then realigns with the cone I know that Pete K guy or whatever did 2- 15s walled in some isuzu something like a 155db or something crazy But I do believe Folded horns and bandpass tlines can actually meter better than a true tline, that is because the cone is straight firing into a tunnel, that amplifies the sound, gives it a bandwidth, and allows for better power handling I'am drawing one up now to give an idea I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy. HHR Ed
lol cone area ftw i can say that much lol haha, yup, but it has to be proper cone area to enclosure to cabin volume ratio. If I added more cone area, my numbers would go down. HHR Ed
listen to freverbmpn too. He knows what he is talking about and I am sure he has good tips. Especially the folded horn. a true exponential horn wouldnt fit in a common vehicle, so a folded horn has great potential.
