Deck Skips

So I was playing decafcappucino's white girl and I was knockin and all the sudden my speakers stopped all sound. So im thinking my amp is clipping and I should turn down the gain. Then I think to myself wait if the components turned off it couldent bee my amp clipping. So I try again and right before it happens slam the bass off and hear my deck skipping. Is there anything I can do about this? The deck is a Kenwood Kdc Mp205 (cheap deck). I was thinking about getting the Dual XDVD700 because I want the screen but in the mean time any help?

Stay away from dual. If you thought your kenwood skips it aint nothing compared how bad that dual skips.

Please don't skimp on a deck. It is one of your most important pieces of your system and you wanna throw in a Dual, Jensen, or a Pyle. You can get a great deck from Alpine, Pioneer, Kenwood, or Panasonic for around $175 so look into that before you buy a pos. Some decks just skip at high volume. In my case I have a Pioneer deh 6000ub and anything over a 142 skips the deck. So I bought a changer off of ebay for $80 brand new and I've only skipped the changer a couple of times. That is your cheapest way out if the new deck would still skip, or you could use a music storage device in place of a cd player. You don't even need a deck if you have an mp3 player, but I high reccomend having one to boost up the preamp signal and give you some equalization.

I have a clarion Double Din CD/DVD player, it doesnt skip at all and you can add a ton of stuff to it I.E., Tv reciever, Navigation,5.1 channel processor,Ipod Control, and it also has 4Volt preout voltage, you can find one now on onlinecarstereo for less than about 400 dollars, they used to be more when I had gotten mine last year.
