cc_audio Posted May 21, 2009 Author Report Share Posted May 21, 2009 I finally have an update. My garage was taken over for a whole week and so I get NOTHING DONE!! Whipped this up the past two days. Started making my battery rack. So far it has come along nicely. Welded a lock nut on the bottom side Made some bus bars real quick. Welded it up and hit it with some rubberized undercoating to prevent any slippage or scratches. They fit perfect. There is no movement at all. It's all gone! Gotta love warranties. Yes that is duct tape and and painters tape on my intake hose. What can I say? I didn't like the look of the Lightning Audio dustcap, so I stuck a JL 13W1 dustcap on there. I had an unexpected payment for school that stopped my recone plan. That'll have to wait a few weeks before I can send it to T3 Audio. So I thought I'd make the best of it. There is a JL sub better that the W7, and I have it. Bwahaha! I love brown boxes! I popped a boner when I saw 86.7% efficiency and 4618W RMS. It's all gone! The mag came off a Ground Zero 15" Plutonium which shared the same motor as their Ground Zero 18" Plutonium. This is the same motor that used to be on the 18" TC Sounds LMS-5400 and I believe the T3 TSNS still uses this motor. Its 10.1" across the magnet. It weighs 106ibs on a step on scale. It's big. Will resume working on battery rack tonight hopefully. It actually weighs 86ibs. Apparently by itself it reads 106 but stick a book under it to spread the weight and it says 86. Piece of shit scale.
