antbent86 Posted May 10, 2009 Report Posted May 10, 2009 I have a 2 channel HK802sx ma audio amp. Its pushing 4 12" pioneer premier subs wired down to 1 ohm on each channel. I have 2 batteries and a 25 farad power cap, but after i play it hard for a few minutes all the sound cuts out. Can anyone help me fix this problem, cause its kinda of agrivatting.
Guest Posted May 10, 2009 Report Posted May 10, 2009 Ma amps are power eaters check to make sure your not cutting out because of severe voltage drops. check to see if your overheating the amp too, maybe cutting in the thermal protect mode

Guest Posted May 10, 2009 Report Posted May 10, 2009 they do drop to around like 9 theres your problem. keep that up and youll end up blowing the amp. get a high output alternator, since alot of the MA audio amps are hungrier than Yoshi.
raytard Posted May 10, 2009 Report Posted May 10, 2009 new alt and what kind of batteries do you have? cuz if its lead acid or optima and you're beating them to a pulp at 9 volts, they could be shot as well...
