StephenLS
Alright..... I have a '96 Pathfinder.... Should I get 2 12" Fi BTLs or 1 18" Fi BTL And whats the best amp(s) I could get to power either of these....... Looking for best for the cheapest price but the money isn't really an issue as I'll save up till I can buy everything anyways.
Team_DC-Derrick
1 18 and d1s on a audiopipe 3k, just because you can run 1 coil per channel. just my IMO and 1 18 will have more cone area if thats a factor Quote The DC Integra 3 18s to 6 15 build log Team_DC-Derrick's Youtube Team DC Audio where theres a will theres a wall....... SplPhreak
for the 1000000000th time. get an fi btl 18" sundown 3000d kinetik 3800 and call it a day
Ben Building
1 18 has more surface area than 2 12s, so all things equqal, with a given excursion, the 18 will make more pressure. But all things are not equal. 18s have more moving mass than 12s, so it is likely to want to play (resonate) lower than the 2 12s. The 12s may sound better, though. Also, you might end up saving space with the 12s, if that's important to you.

bumpincruiser
thats a pretty big setup for someone who is asking questions like this. i dont think people understand all that you need for a bigger setup like this. your going to need to replace your starter batt, get at least one batt for the back, lots of 0 guage wire, and a HO alt. Kicker Guy
Get the 18. You won't need as much power, so it will save you money. You said its not an issue but it always is! Will be easier on your electrical as well powering 1 instead of 2. I can understand the upgraded alternator.... but an extra battery is necessary for 1 18...?
brewer_brewer
I can understand the upgraded alternator.... but an extra battery is necessary for 1 18...? its not the 18" that causes the problems, its the 3500 rms draw on the electrical system that does. Yeah but wouldn't the upgraded alt. + the upgraded batt. be enough?
