Jville140db
you can get someone here to design a ported box for you. but you cannot tune a sealed box to XXhz. couldn't you tune a sealed box based on volume and the subs elec params. because i just did a very large sealed box for my 12's in which i wanted the roll off at a certain freq and did it based on volume. Sampsonite
Build looks Really nice and clean! And I can't Believe No One has suggested Pollyfil to get your sealed box to tune lower! But it looks like you already got the point --Sampson 816-591-6592 www.kcrimshop.com
Lowroll
Fo'sho! its gonna hit high 40's though. about 48hz, maybe 46 with the fill? id like to be about 40 or 41 bc i listen to a lot of bass heavy music and i love the glass flexing bass that ports offer. I dont know if it can be done with this box though. any suggestions? Lowroll
the box has an internal volume of 3.9 cubes. Below i have copied soundstreams specs for a minimum ported enclosure of 2 cubes. but the freq are lower than i want. Last night i used expo sports box calculator (very useful) and came up with a 3x10x10 slot to give me 40.63Hz in a 3.86 cube box that was very close to my dimensions. Is it possible? treossi
i like the finish on the box, i think it will slam in that truck man, you'll get some flex for sure Team sundownWESTCOASTSPL.COM we're throwing dbdrag events very soon visit the website for details
Lowroll
i like the finish on the box, i think it will slam in that truck man, you'll get some flex for sure Im sure that those 4 12's and 4400 watts will flex glass and metal, and probably some other stuff. I just dont like the high freq. my current box is 41 and id like it to be lower than that, like 38-39ish. if i had a port design id do it, im prepared to slice an opening into the top of the box and drop a slot into it or, a manifold style port with multiple pvc tubes in it. Iv done a pile of work today, i stripped the truck, pulled new rca's, new/larger remote wire, pulled new speaker wire to all the mids and highs, and rewired them. except for one ima need some more 14 gauge bc i ran short. but tomorrow it will have the 12's in for sure. i had to get it back together enough to drive it to school tonight. ill throw pics up when i get home. Lowroll
So today i got out there and got quite a bit done. im looking forward to dropping the box in tomorrow. and if anyone has suggestions on porting this box please let me know. My trophies one last picture Stripped down pulled all new speaker wires cleaned up my wires pulled new rca's to my mids/highs amp, ditched my equalizer, bass blockers, pulled bigger remote wire, & yanked out this poorly wired remote start that didnt work, and this is how it sits now. All the wiring that came out.
