white4d96 Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 I was getting ready to leave school today and I heard this amazingly clean bass. I stop by the usual suspects, and it turns out to be this grungy looking black Grand Am. Turns out it's got a wall with 4 RD Audio 12's, mids and highs scattered about, and a trunkful of amps (claimed 7000wRMS). The kid let me sit in it while he blasted and all I have to say is OH MY GOD!!! I could hardly breathe! It was amazing! To put it into comparison, his car had about 20.6 TIMES the RMS power I am used to. It was amazing! ANYHOW, my question: Has anyone here heard of RD? I had never heard of them before this guy; he said he's sponsored by them. I know they can get loud now (he also claimed that he bassraces a 149.9) but are they good gear for daily? Too many projects, too little time...
matt402 Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 nope never heard of RD j/k. they are great products man...
white4d96 Posted May 15, 2009 Author Report Posted May 15, 2009 They definitely wanged: his door panels had more excursion even with a voltage drop than my woofers! Too many projects, too little time...
tristan560 Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 Yeah theres a guy on here with a pretty sick RD system if i remember right. 99 Jimmy SLT 4WD Systemless. 99 Grand Prix GTP DC XL 12 on 1.5k tuned lowwwwww.
jmanjr82 Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 good product, steve miller is the owner of the company and he is based out of Ga. Its a hit or miss really, some people claim rd sucks, some love it. I really think its worth a shot to be honest. Steve is a good dude and trys to help where he can, and the product performs well daily and in the lanes from my experience.
