aznboi3644
I would say that is not enough port area. I used to run a single 15 with 800 watts in 4.3 cubes with 112.5 sq inches of port area.

Noobtastic14
something to consider with ports and efficiency is how much air is traveling along a wall or other surface. 5x40" port has a perimeter of 90" and an area of 200" BUT- a port of say 15" by 13.5" is 202.5 square inches and only 57" of perimeter. in port #2 more are is traveling in the port and less on the outer edge of the port = MOAR DBs (which is why a round port is so efficient- least amount of wall to total port area) -Drew Quote I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional. mxman38
im getting so many different answers here... uhh. First off, i have never seen a wall with aero ports.. i have seen a couple set ups with square vents but i was told as long as im in the 9x1 ratio i would be fine. also, i can see ray running 160 square inches in a 15 cube box if you are running a ton of power and hitting 157 or whatever at a higher frequency. The unfortunate part is that i already cut. But before i glue the baffle i COULD change it... but most ppl seem to think it is fine.
