All Hifonics Brutus Amp Owners I Got A ?

no probs with my 1608d. My 4 channel brutus gets warm, but not the 1608d.

Exactly, Also correct guage wiring from your bat to the amp or altered post-battery power sources also matters. Plus not questioning your methods or your quality of install, but make 100% sure you're running at a 1 ohm load. I have had amps stable to 1 ohm that I wired for a 1 ohm load and I usually shoot for a quick 20 minute swap out, on few occasions I missed a simple directional lead to the 2nd voice coil push terminal. Then next thing you know the amp that would never shut down for me before shuts down. Then due to my hurry I have to pull it all out and check everything. In those few instances it was always just that problem and eventually shuts the amp down for good fineto. Also running a larger amp than what you actually need is better. Better to overpower and know you have the extra than to underpower and have your input gain turned soooo far up that you send distortion to the sub. Matching them up rms to combined sub rms works great but insure your amp isnt overrated. Still i'd rather have the extra power to ensure no distortion. I know I don't have the money to be puttin new subs in every couple of months. Also yeah I have heard Hifonics makes one hell of an amp awesome bang for the buck and supposed to be extremely clean, heard this from many valuable sources, looking to get one myself probly the 2010 brutus to push 2 kicker 12 CVX at the 1 ohm load. Dual 4 ohm of course. Have seen, adjusted, and heard a few power acoustik amps and I'm very suprised about the power they put out and quality of sound for a very low price. They are more than likely overrated never checked but Sure make a set of Mtxs sound amazing.
