Ok I'm planning to run a 15" BL in my trunk and was wondering what box idea would be louder. 1. A regular ported box facing the rear. 2. Wall off the trunk and have the sub facing the cabin in a ported box, with this setup i could make the install look nice with the box i would do the plexiglass with mirror inside of it with some L.E.D. lights in it or something to see when you pop open the trunk with the amps on the floor with a false floor, itd look real nice but it gotta sound good too...would that way be louder??? and my seat fold down if that has any factor...thanks

Facing forward with sealed off trunk. Facing backward can have cancellation issues.

ok thanks for the quick response

IMO it all depends on the car. My box isnt sealed from the trunk but for some reason it hits loudest and clearest facing sideways. I've tried it every direction w/ the seats down and up.

ide go with idea 2. Would probably hit harder. And sounds like it could look alot nicer to.

i'd go with your 2nd idea. i'm ported firing to the rear and i'm getting everything ready to do what everyone is recommending. and i can vouch on the cancellation issues. i got rattles on top of rattles and cant get rid of them.

I only tell people 1/3 of what im REALLY doin', just so they can HATE ONLY on that third...

Thanks for all the input, I will most likely do the sealing off the trunk idea, itll be alot of work but worth it. Another question I'm gunna run a T10001Bd amp to that BL what options would I need, I know cooling for sure but I dont know about the flatwind coil and everything, and I shouldnt expect much rattling from the trunk if I seal the trunk off, should I?

Well I should start the build friday or monday, i have shop class right now. But I designed it for the 15" BL that i will be dropping in this summer the box is about 4.1 cuft tuned to 30hz but Im gunna stick the Type-R in it until this summer yall think itll be fine???
