BumpinLow
Ok. I'm just wondering what kind of results I'll get with the following. (I know how to build boxes, but have never done the following) Route the edges of the port, use 2x4's & bondo or fiberglass them in place making it smooth (or using cardboard like you(steve) did for the port on your civic wall) and also doing that along all the seems of the box where there is a 90 degree angle. I've never gone too into depth with bulding a box and I'm just wondering if it's going to make a big enough difference to go ahead and do it. Thanks for the help in advance. :^
andym85
routing the edges of the port may reduce port noise (if you have any), and the other stuff will defineately help the box from flexing, the angles and smoothing the box will help air flow easier...u may see a little difference in sq/spl (whatever your doing)...but probably nothing way too drastic, but if you compete every db counts. just give it a shot and see for yourself i guess... i likes me some audio stuff...
