So I just got my box done for my new setup...1 DC Level 4 XL 18"

I'm going to brace it with all thread, but how do I attach the all thread to the box?

With a washer, lock washer, and a nut from both sides. If you want them countersunk then use a small scrap piece of mdf mounted on the inside of the box.

You can see how the washers & nuts ae countersunk into outside of the box.

alrite that looks good, you think just brace it about how you have it, like a cross

or u could use 1"+ dowel rods... its cheaper, easier to cut and connect...

and you can connect the dowel together w/screws or by cutting notches out.... much much stronger when u have all the bracing connected together rather than 3 separate rods not working in unison

and you wont have any sign of the bracing if you use dowel whereas allthread is kindof an eye sore... both work just the same as the other

but yes, do left to right... front to back... and top to bottom should be fine for 1 18

ok, I think Ill go with the dowel rods, seems a little bit easier

how do you think it would be best to connect the rods to the box?

a patient hand to measure correctly

a straight saw blade

1 2"+ drywall screw

wood glue all around

if you can resin/mat the inside of the box that will help alot too

quesrtion i have always used 2x4 and round dowels to do bracing is their any advantage to threaded rod beside strength to volume loss if that makes sense
