Deuces D.A.K.
Ok so here is my dilemma - i'm working on my stereo right now and I've got my component speakers that I need to get hooked up - but i'm not exactly sure what the best setting would be I've got a separate amp for them too so it won't be running off the same one as my sub. Of course not LPF since that's for the wang, but should I switch my amp to FULL or HPF???? and if I do need to put it on HPF - would the RCA's work for me, or do I need to hook up the HI input? aaaand if I do need to hook up the HI input - do I just splice from my speaker wires behind the deck?? thanks!! Team_DC-Derrick
do they come with a crossover? Full should do the trick if they do.. thats if you want midbass, HPF mainly filters for just the music/vocals and not the bass Quote The DC Integra 3 18s to 6 15 build log Team_DC-Derrick's Youtube Team DC Audio where theres a will theres a wall....... Team_DC-Derrick
both.. you need to get the amp to send power to the speakers, so you need to have the speaker wires connected to the amp... Duvanator
just for clarity, so there's no misinterpretation, Run the RCA's from your head unit, to you amp. then you run the speaker wire from the output on your amp to your crossovers then speaker wire from your crossovers to the speakers HU-------- AMP------ Crossover-----Tweeter/Woofer Eric Edited June 15, 2009 by Duvanator Quote head unit - Panasonic MXE CQ-C7403U amp - Cerwin-Vega EXL 1200D subs - (x2) Cerwin Vega V-MAX 15.4 box - 5.8 ^3 at 32hz spkrs- Phoenix Gold Rsd Comps
Deuces D.A.K.
you run your rca's from HU to amp and speaker wires from amp to speakers. yeah i'll be running the RCA's to my amp, then from my amp i'll connect my crossovers, then from crossovers to speakers/tweets....that's how i'm supposed to wire those up off the x-over Quote Currently Under Construction - hoping to be done by August: JVC KD-SH55 Head Unit Rockford Fosgate 10" HX2 @ 35Hz Hifonics Zeus ZXi6.5C (Mids/Highs) Hifonics TXi4008 (amp for mids/highs) Hifonics BXi610 (amp for sub) KnuKonceptz Kolossus Flex 4 gauge - power/ground 50^2ft.
