But what about if you are using an outside wall as a port wall, how far in and over would I have to make that port if the OD of the box is 16in tall Quote My build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...8920&st=100 http://www.youtube.com/Bulletinjection

BLuejoules
You need around 22-25 depending on how much room internal bracing takes up Quote IG: devinthydude
Gibbs
?? no, even with the use of a slot port, i get a length of about 35" for the tuning to be at around 32 hz.yeah....my box is tuned to 32hz and my dimensions are 14hx39wx16d with 30" of port. So I would assume yours would be longer...then again I'm still learning the art of building haha. Quote Check out my build and the band Like We Always Do! Once you start you can never stop. I even used your calculator and that's what I got. Then I used one from Alpine and theirs said like 19.5. So my results from the two were 18" and 19.5" Quote My build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...8920&st=100 http://www.youtube.com/Bulletinjection

BulletInjection
hmm i'll have to check that again but 22 seemed right on the money I just ran out and looked at the back and thought and measured and figured this is better. The port runs down 11in. port and sub face up.
