Im now thinking either 2 LVL4 XL 15s on a DC 3000.1 or AQ3500D, or 1 LVL5 18 on the same amp. Trying to decide if i wanna do an 18 with possibly going to 2 18s in the future or 2 15s with potential for 4 15s in the future...but also what will i like more for the time being? This works for till i get the blown amp fixed] Alpine 4ch salvaged from blazer (currently near death)9887 peerless 7s in the doors and CDT tweeters ran active no speakers in the rearKintik HC1400 under the hood.metered once a while ago, dont remember it...was piss poor compared to the blazer, mid 130s i think....looking to replace subs and amp when i have money. moose Posted June 16, 2009 Report Share Posted June 16, 2009 i have never heard that in my life!! i have had many systems that i bang for 7hr road trips no problems. just the otherday i drove almost 3 hrs with my lvl4 18s with lvl5 coils 14 cubes on a dc audio 3k. non stop and then played it in a parking lot at idle for 2 more hours NOT ONE PROBLEM.imo throw your system in the trash if you cant use it for what its meant for. if you have quite a bit more than recommended power on your subs they will heat up quick....i even remember steve sayin at one time a while back that he can only play his full tilt for about 15-20 minutes before having to let them cool. if you have a system that you play full tilt for 9 hours all the power to ya...i was just giving my opinion.. moose Quote J.A.M AUDIO Owner North Texas Authorized DC Sound Lab Dealers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

This is going to happen sometime this year, not soon neccessarily, im just trying to figure out what i need to save. I got about 5k in debt to pay off before i can start playing with a new system. My rear diff went out and the day i got it back from the shop the trans went out, all together it was about 5k and i had to fix the trans cuz i had just given him a check for 3k for the rear end.
