Derrick824 Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 You're gonna want at least a 200a alternator although I'd rather see you get a 250a. Don't skimp here. I always tell everyone to get the biggest best alt they can afford cause it's waayyy better to have too much than not enough. Always overbuild. For batteries you're gonna need a good group34 under the hood and a group3100 in the back. Quote
siucsaluki11 Posted June 19, 2009 Author Report Posted June 19, 2009 For alts i was lookin at http://www.db-starter-alternator.com/Items...%2003%20%208283 This one is for a 2001, but i dont see why it wouldnt fit on the 2000 4.3 vvvvv http://www.db-starter-alternator.com/Items...%2003%20%208283 And this one http://www.dcpowerinc.com/magento/alternators/ad-270-sp.html Quote woman..cant live with em...cant shoot em...guess were all fucked You might be a Redneck if you use your leftover gutters for a speaker box port... Derrick824 Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 When it comes to alternators do your homework and go with a company that has a solid proven reputation and product. Even if you have to pay more money it will be well worth it. I'd rather buy a $300 200a alternator from a good company than a $200 300a alternator from a shitty one. Quote
siucsaluki11 Posted June 19, 2009 Author Report Posted June 19, 2009 Well i know DC is a good company, and that was the one with the highest output. Only problem would be that is mucho expensive. But if getting that alt saved me from having to buy 3 group 31s and a Group 34 (not sure if thats what my blazer takes or not, ill look into it) to 1 or 2 G31 batts and a G34, then its worth it. Im pretty sure you can fit the AD alts onto the 4.3L blazers Quote woman..cant live with em...cant shoot em...guess were all fucked You might be a Redneck if you use your leftover gutters for a speaker box port... siucsaluki11 Posted June 19, 2009 Author Report Posted June 19, 2009 IF i can fit the AD alt to fit i would go with this probably, 250A for 260 http://www.db-starter-alternator.com/Items...%2000%20%208237 Quote woman..cant live with em...cant shoot em...guess were all fucked You might be a Redneck if you use your leftover gutters for a speaker box port...
