Guest
when i click "clip fix" it locks up about half way through anyone else notice this problem? happens to me too, i just go to amplify and do like -1 or so
Decaf
i dont know exactly how the new audacity clipping feature works but... when u use - amplify you are making the entire sound quieter... and the clip is still there those red lines indicate data outside of the 30db range.... not necessarily a flat spot... or clip.... this is why ive said over and over again that the new audacity is misleading
quakecitystudio
when u use - amplify you are making the entire sound quieter... and the clip is still there It's nothing on your part, it's because the people that recorded the song, did so without keeping an eye on the levels, so the clips are forever in the songs due to poor production, and nothing will really ever fix it completely. If I was to lower my levels overall, I would go to Effect> Equalization, then choose "Flat" and click on the horizontal bar and raise or lower my levels across all frequencies. I know you can do it with the gain and all, but this is what I use. Quote Bass Music Producer • Photographer • Graphic Designer -------------- Deep Sector Boom... Decaf
bingo, thats why i do to my music... spot on thats part of remastering a track, listening for what has too much embellishment and what doesnt have enough
