Help With Box

Recommended Posts

OK so when i built my box it was tunned to 33Hz so i added, not thinking it would hurt the tunning, i put 2 2x4s going up and down and 1 2x4 going from front to back. i later found out it changed it to 40Hz i was mad.So SPLGEO told me i could shorten the length of the port by adding a piece of mdf wood to the sides of the ports to the back until the bass was low enough.I cant tell whats good so can somebody please tell me how much shorter i will need to shorten the ports by adding 3/4 mdf pieces. here is what i built. i am going to put the origanal box design up. this is double baffled also. Please help! THANKS.

have you heard it play yet? you may like 40hz, i wouldnt, but some do. but it kinda sounds like your screwed. you could take the 2x4s out and brace from the outside....by kinda wrapping the box in 2x4's...but then your box might not fit in your car...sounds like you are either gonna have to live with it or rebuild it...

i likes me some audio stuff...
