lolitskasey Posted June 24, 2009 Author Report Posted June 24, 2009 definately a prime opportunity for a 4th order. (with room to spare) Really? or are you kidding. lol
sound xtreme Posted June 24, 2009 Report Posted June 24, 2009 with 4" thick walls, you will have 41 cubes. That is MORE than enough to do a daily 4th order bandpass. I have 8 15's in my van and my enclosure is about 56 total (and i wanna make the ported side smaller). 2-2.5 cubes sealed, firing into about 8 cubes each ported. build it as big as you can. One of the most important things is to make your loading wall as strong as possible. Mine is 6" thick, and i used MDF and a engineered wood product called steel board. 1997 Astro front:6 sets of T3 componets Subs: 8 level 5 18"s (building 6th order BP) Amps: 4 really big ones (totalling just shy of 50K) Batts: Alt: Ohio Generator 1996 Chevy Suburban Sub amp: A fifth really big amp Subwoofer: 2-15" DC Level 4 XL Batts: C&D high rate--(x4)
lolitskasey Posted June 24, 2009 Author Report Posted June 24, 2009 Im not looking to compete just daily. lol but if a 4th order bandpass will be the loudest im down lol.
