siucsaluki11
So im designing a box for 2 15 LVL 4 XLs. Im trying to decide between slot or aero ports. Box will be roughly 7 cubes tuned to around 30-35 Hz. If i do slot port the port is going to be 124 in^2, but if i do aero ports idk how many at what diameter or how long to make them. What would you suggest if i go with aero ports? And how do i compensate or calculate the port length with the flares? woman..cant live with em...cant shoot em...guess were all fucked You might be a Redneck if you use your leftover gutters for a speaker box port... This works for till i get the blown amp fixed] Alpine 4ch salvaged from blazer (currently near death)9887 peerless 7s in the doors and CDT tweeters ran active no speakers in the rearKintik HC1400 under the hood.metered once a while ago, dont remember it...was piss poor compared to the blazer, mid 130s i think....looking to replace subs and amp when i have money. siucsaluki11
I went to psp-inc.com, and it gave me some numbers, but are those for the length of each port or the lenght of all of them combined? woman..cant live with em...cant shoot em...guess were all fucked You might be a Redneck if you use your leftover gutters for a speaker box port... banginAltima
A 7 cube box with two full length 6 inch aero ports would be tuned to 32hz. Volume of Box in Cubic Feet: 7 Tuning frequency 32 Port diameter 6 Number of Ports 2 Flare Length Port required 17.87 each If you build it, db's will come... matt402
i think a 7 cube box needs more than 2 6" ports for area...
banginAltima
i think a 7 cube box needs more than 2 6" ports for area... Not really. Might want to cut the box down to 6.5 cubes. siucsaluki11
why cut it down to 6.5? Is that length flared on one end or both? Is there a rule as to how far to keep it off any walls? Is there a rule for how many in^2 of port per cube when its aero ports? woman..cant live with em...cant shoot em...guess were all fucked You might be a Redneck if you use your leftover gutters for a speaker box port...
